Scuba diving, windsurfing, horse riding, tennis, athletics, football, basketball, rugby, squash and swimming are just some of the sporting activities that you can enjoy in Elche.
The Ciudad Deportiva is Elche’s main sports complex covering an area of 150,000 m2. There are also other Municipal Sports Centres located throughout the city such as the Polideportivo de Carrús, Parque Deportivo, Polideportivo de los Palmerales, Parc Esportiu de El Plá, Polideportivo de Altabix (with an athletics stadium) and Polideportivo del Toscar. There are also others located in the outlying districts of Torrellano, El Altet and La Marina.These facilities offer the infrastructure necessary to do all types of sports and some have swimming pools, ideal for a refreshing dip in the hot summer months
