The Ciudad Deportiva is Elche’s main municipal sports complex covering 150,000 m2 for doing all types of sports. As well as the municipal football and rugby pitches, the centre has a further two football pitches and two five a-side pitches with clay surfaces, three multifunction courts for basketball and indoor football, three basketball courts, another one for mini basketball, a 300-metre athletics track, with an area for field sports, four pelota and three tennis courts.
It also has an artificial rock face in the form of an open hand for climbing enthusiasts so that they can do their favourite sport without leaving the city. And finally, for lovers of alternative sports, there is a well-equipped skateboarding area.
