International Festival of The Spoken Word
Date: Between April and May
The International Festival of The Spoken Word, organised by the “La Carátula” theatre company, brings together different Spanish and international cultures using the spoken word as a theatrical phenomenon. In a theatrical space and with a public that takes an active part in the dramatic dialogue, the Festival offers a wide variety of performances such as monologues, discourses, story-telling, poetry recitals, addresses, etc.

Mystery Play d’Elx
A lyrical medieval drama, declared a Masterpiece of World Oral and Intangible Heritage by UNESCO in 2001.
Elx Palm Grove
Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2000, the Palm Grove has over 200,000 palm trees.
