The processions and performances that take place during the Pobladores fiestas celebrate different aspects of the civilisations that have settled in the city of Elche throughout its long history. The commemoration of historical milestones such as the discovery of the Dama d’Elx make these fiestas among the most characteristic of the city. Furthermore, during “Greek Market Day” visitors and townspeople alike can buy products typical of a city of ancient Greece.

A lyrical medieval drama, declared a Masterpiece of World Oral and Intangible Heritage by UNESCO in 2001.
Elx Palm Grove
Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2000, the Palm Grove has over 200,000 palm trees.
