img: Avión despegando desde el AltetThanks to its El Altet International Airport, 13 kilometres outside the city and Spain’s fourth largest in terms of passenger volume, Elche boasts excellent national and international flight schedules.

There are weekly flights from El Altet to more than 50 destinations. Due to economic development and the growth in tourism in the province, air travel has become the favourite way of travelling for the millions of tourists and businesspeople who regularly use the airport and its facilities.

The more than nine million passengers that pass through the airport each year also use the other numerous services to be found in El Altet, such as shops, cafeterias and restaurants, exchange bureaus, car hire companies and travel agents.
