The Espai d’art d’Elx, located in Passeig de l’Estació, is the fruit of a collaborative initiative between Elx Town Hall and the municipal company PIMESA whose objective is to reflect the different aesthetic trends within contemporary sculpture.
The ESPAI dates back to the creation of Elche’s Museum of Contemporary Art in 1980, when a project for an open-air Sculpture Museum was proposed. In 1984 the Pablo Serrano oeuvre was acquired which became part of Espai d’art d’Elx.
