Accessible beaches for all

Arenales del Sol beach provides an access point which allows disabled tourists to enjoy bathing.

This accessible “beach point” is open from the 15th of June to the 15th of September and has changing rooms, a toilet and shower, a special chair for the shower and two amphibian chairs which make safe access to the water easier for disabled people. It is also staffed by people qualified to assist those who come to the beach every day and has an area which is sheltered from the sun.

There has been a very positive response to this initiative as during the summer months an average of eight bathers per day has been registered.
