Beaches of Elx. Rescue and Life Saving Service
On the past 19th March, the rescue and life saving service began in the 9 kms of beaches belonging to the district of Elx. More than 45 people including life savers, doctors, clinical aids, boat masters, stretcher-bearers and ambulance drivers keep watch on our security and that of all our visitors.
Starting June, 11 the service will carry on, non-stop everyday, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m and it will be extended until 8 p.m. in July and August.
The four Life Saving Centres dispose of all the necessary material for emergency first-aid cures. They are situated in the main access to the beaches of el Carabassí, l’Altet, els Arenals del Sol and la Marina; with an ambulance in each of the last three, two rescue motorbikes on the l’Altet-Arenals-Carabassí Area and one motorbike and a rescue boat in the El Pinet-La Marina-El Rebollo Area.
On the other hand, during July and August the ambulance service will be carried out 24 hrs. a day in the urban area of els Arenals del Sol and la Marina.
