A very lively site

Like every year, excavations will be carried out on the Alcudia site throughout the month of September. The work will be carried out by Geography and History students of the University of Alicante and will be coordinated by the Alcudia University Foundation of Archaeological Research. The excavations, subsidized by the Department of Culture of the Valencian Community, will be centered on the city wall, close to which the new Interpretation Centre is to be built. The fundamental objective of this project is to uncover the greatest area of wall possible, as well as completing the study on it (chronolgy, construction, etc) and relating it to the structures within the walls which were documented in the last excavation campaign….
