img: The monumental routeVisitors to Elche have a wide range of places of interest and activities to choose from. If you want to know a bit more about our history and culture we recommend an enjoyable stroll along the monumental route. In just a few hours you will be able to see our most emblematic monuments as well as visiting interesting museums.

img: Natural spaces with unique speciesIf wildlife is what most interests you, we suggest an ecological route taking in Elx marshes, of great ecological value. Neither must you forget a visit to Elche’s beaches or the beautiful palm plantations that make up the Elx Palm Grove, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2000.

img: The Mystery PlayThe city’s festivals occupy a privileged place among its cultural activities, endowing the city with a vibrant note of colour. Of all of the fiestas that take place throughout the year, the Elche Mystery Play, declared World Heritage by UNESCO in 2001, is undoubtedly the most important.

Elche is a welcoming city which has a lot of leisure activities to offer at night, as well as during the day, with its commercial and services sectors, and its shopping areas and street markets offering all manner of goods and crafts.

img: The Martínez Valero Football StadiumFor sports lovers, the city has numerous sports facilities where all types of sports can be played. Moreover, Elx also has one of Spain’s largest football stadiums with a crowd capacity of 39,000 spectators.
